When Should I Be Screened for Breast Cancer?

Nearly a year ago, the United States Preventive Services Task Force introduced new guidelines that recommend fewer screenings for breast cancer at later ages. The American Cancer Society and others, however, advocate for the previous standards annual mammograms beginning at age 40.
A panel of breast cancer experts discusses the controversy surrounding the risks of overscreening versus the benefits of an early detection of breast cancer.
